I come from a family of great cooks, bakers and entertainers. I am still trying to live down when I was 12 years old and I was boiling water for pasta, and forgot about the pan. The water boiled out and the aluminum bottom of the pan was melting all over the stove top. Long story short, I woke up in a wheelchair with my doctor peeling pieces of aluminum off the bottom of my foot. The family joke is I can't even boil water.
